Muse.

I have decided, as of five minutes ago, that Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance" is my muse of NaNo '07.

That is all.

"Something exciting about leaving everything behind."

My goal for today is 8335 words. I'm at 6689 now. I need an additional 1646 words by 11:59 today. Man, today is going to be a breeze. Maybe I can even break 10k, if I'm lucky. It's only 3311 words...

6k.

Broke 6k about ten minutes ago. Only 400 more words and I break the word count for tomorrow. I'm on track. Yes!

Sleep is for the weak.

So, anyway. I have to go out into the real world soon to meet boy for something to eat, but I've been writing all day, so I'm not really looking my best at the moment. But you know what? That's what hats and scarves were made for, baby.

I don't like where my story is going. I think I have my heroine doing something she normally wouldn't do, and this worries me. I hope everything pans out soon. Real soon.

I'm also counting tomorrow's word count as today's. That way I won't fall behind when my birthday comes up at me. I hope my plan works, I really do.

*sigh*

Inital Beginnings

Day Two

Decided to start a NaNo blog as I was searching for new music this afternoon. I want to eventually add pictures and everything, but for now, music takes priority.

So. NaNo '07, eh?

This is my first time doing NaNoWriMo, and I'm eagerly looking forward to whatever this month has to throw at me (if this includes a falling out with my sanity, so be it).

Just because I feel like it, here's a piece of my music. It's what I'm listening to right now, as I write this up.

Riverdance - Cry of the Celts
Riverdance - Gypsy Kings
Riverdance - Lord of the Dance
Irish Folk Songs - Greensleeves

A lot of fiery, passionate Celtic music is great for the creative spirit inside of me, but why is it every time I hear Celtic music, I cry? Hmm.
